It seemed about this time,
in nineteen and fifty five.
I was a child of only five.
A man caught me in his arms.
He was strong and big, I'm
glad 'cause I was born a big
girl of almost 12 pounds.

He had to be strong, cause I had
learned that my granny was in
that long box and would'nt
be back no more.  why...why?
I needed to know, why do you put
my granny in a deep dark hole?
When I did learn it changed my life.
It was the time I became whole.

The big man said if I should
see granny again, how I must live.
I had to walk and talk like Jesus
and be a teacher too and help
a child to live and grow, to walk
and talk like Jesus wants us to do.
Do not forget to tell a child
before they see that deep dark hole,
Jesus is the Savior of all the world
He set the standard of how to grow,
and how all earthly life will begin
and end at the gate of eternity.
