Although he walked like a zombie
His face was healthy and plump
In his eyes I could again see
The love between him and me.
Psychosis defines his mental health
Which I could not understand
I now know why God sent him to me
He would have died by another's hands.
When last I saw him he could not smile
Mood swings, anger and depression
Had comsumed his mind and taken it
To a place where he could not pray.
Although antidepressants he now must take
Tis better than being in the streets
Sleeping under bridges hearing the voice
Of satan lying in his ears telling him to kill.
A good visitation: Doctors, social service
Were kind when I appeared at the door of
Prison Mental Health Care. I believe my
Love for Jesus shined...they know I love Ed.
