We have to always rely on the Lord for our comfort in difficult times, and constant prayer will always keep the lines of communication open to the Lord. satan looks for the weakest link in all of us that he can exploit. Never let him succeed.

Your father's spirit clearly has a strong, guiding presence in your daily walk with life. Your use of the word 'animal' aptly describes the nature of the foe we contend with. I use the word 'beast' and make reference to it in my poem Taming the Beast - the tongue of all beasts is the most savage if given free reign. I have fallen prey to that little cumbersome member too often for my liking, not to mention those whom my careless words have offended. Only if we draw near to God through Christ and ask to be topped up by His Spirit are we able to deal properly with our adversary in whatever form it takes.

You always seem to have a lesson to learn deep within the walls of your poetry! Another great piece!
