She with her pearls
and bed of unmade silk
is wriggling to free her eyes
from the froth of her beating heart.

She speaks to herself
as always inside the gloss of her skin
how she gurgles the venom
of her own being.

Don't know why?
why she was searching for perfume.

To everyone she was a princess
with all readymade luxuries around her
it is allright even if she can't imagine
even if she is a rag doll
running thru those shopping mall.

Rainmaker by Susan Smith

Cold cases, Cold War relics, revenge served cold. All spark fires of biblical proportions that only a Rainmaker from heaven can quench.
