Kitty mouse................

With tears in my eyes and lump in my throat,
my friends for a bit, we must leave all of you.
My angel is ill and all tests have been run,
now it is surgery she must go through.

Always happy, freely sharing wet kisses,
guarding her kitty mouse every day.
We leave for the Vet's long before daybreak,
a two hour journey all one way.

She will wear her favorite sweater,
all pretty in pink she will be.
No car this trip, in the RV we travel,
so we can be together, her and me.

We unpacked the playpen and cleaned it too,
so when we return she has a special place.
No playing, running, jumping up and down,
no wagging stubby tail or sparkling eyes of grace.

An angel of a baby, first birthday is next week,
dog bones, doggie ice cream, doggie cake too.
Hope Sami does not mind if we wait a bit,
until Vickie is better, not so down and blue.

We will be back home by Tuesday, I hope,
with a list from the Vet to help Vickie on her way.
May God embrace her, my precious little girl,
while each moment of each day we will all pray.

      Robert and I carry all of you with us
                 carefully in our hearts!
