Funny but I can only think of 2 instances where we're told to "take" an emotion "take courage" being one of them and we're often told to "take care" never to take fear of take happiness etc. It's like it's up to us us to initiate. Really encouraged by your remark Edwin Take care and keep taking courage

Hey Jeff,there is nothing wrong with being scared.Everybody is scared of something.I can honestly say that I used to feel that way you express in your poem.I really didn't like going outside because I was self-conscious about myself and about what people think of me.That was when I was a teenager.Now I go out and enjoy what this world and what life has to offer.Life is too short to be concerned about what people think about me.I commend you for admitting that you are still scared but yet have the courage to go out.That is brave of you to do even though I know it wasn't easy.I really have no idea who said that quote at the end of your poem.I enjoy reading this poem very much.take care
