Talked of the past, uncertain tomorrows
Disagreed on sport and silly things
Always felt each others' sorrows

Two years since we shared a laugh
the special times, a bet or two
on football games and boring things
that helped turn grey skies into blue

Two years since I said goodbye
So suddenly - yet did you know?
We shared those precious moments too
As you journeyed on when called to go.
