Tiny winks on the summer air,
Floating and dancing without a care.
Chased around a child's backyard,
A moment of God's magic caught in a jar.
A fingertip tickle of a most wondorus light,
A wonderous light all aglow this firefly night.

A wonderous light indeed. One hat keeps us spellbound for a long time, even after the light has been extinguished, the memory lives on. Thank you for sharing your heart poem today. :)

Brought back childhood memories of catching fireflies and putting them in glass bottles. For some reason, they didn't live very long. Probably because they usually died after their mating song. Hard to hear above their brilliant light show for love.
