No Such Thing as Can't

Never understood anything my Dad would say

He told me all things were possible,

If you would just believe.

He was not an overly religious man.

I think it's bcause he lost both parents

at a very young age.

Dad didn't have much book education,

But in my eyes wasn't much my Dad couldn't

do he'd say things like the Jack-of-all-trades

And the master of none.

Only a few things did Dad really believe

Work real hard trusts in god,

And love our nation.

Sometimes, when he was in a spirited mood

He went a yelling,

"Never want what you can't afford.

Don't break, what you can'f fix.

And don't loan what you can't afford to lose."

Another strange thing he'd say was,

"if it's of the flesh you can't judge me.

Because of skin you don't see me."

So as I strive to find my spirituality.

I remember what my Dad taught me,

there's No Such Thing As Can't.
