I stood in awe at what I heard the sea whispered to me said my name told me to be still I stood in the sand mesmerized water curled gently around my toes I waited straining to hear, eyes wide
who can it be that's fooling me
I felt like I was turning numb shifted my position, got a wave slap shushing sounds,I was taken aback saw no one nothing, just water the waves were getting high and rougher suddenly the ocean looked angry
felt uneasy stomach queasy
then a deep whooshing voice said "Don't you know how to be still" I said "that's not fair, who are you" "I'm the ocean and you are a fool" I said "I've spent most of my life by the ocean ,and it never spoke to me before"
I acted brave wanted to cave
"well listen up,we in the oceanic community are tired of being treated like a garbage dump! we will begin to get violent if it continues this message must go to your leaders and the rest of the country
my insides chilled heart almost stilled
we are speaking to others all over the world if we are not heard, our waters will cover you, and put an end to the madness of humanity." "wait, why tell me, I love the ocean I never treat it badly,I don't understand, what can I do?"
wondered why me I love the sea
"tell your leaders, you happen to be in the right place at the right time, it has nothing to do with who you are, but what we need, If you think no one will listen, you are wrong. You are one of thousands being told and all of your voices will be heard,the rest is up to humanity"
could this be true what can we do
" if your leaders don't take the right action, you would be wise to move to the highest mountains" I told all the leaders told everybody, no one believed me,or any of the others who knew we are moving to the mountains, farewell
A beautifully written, thought provoking piece Eileen, one that is dear to my heart, make one want to scream...wake up people, before its too late!

Hey! No freaking fair! You're one-uping me at my own game. Seriously, this was a fine rendition. You seized my thoughts immediately and kept on "dishing it out," until the end. You originated a germ for thought and you did it well.
You take a leaf out of Jerry's septcouplet form, isn't it amazing how this is catching on, you start a new trend, and it becomes a virus...lols
You deliver an apocalyptic warning that sadly Man is turning a deaf ear too Eileen, we only have to look at the lesson of Noah in the Bible, to see its predecessor !
That sea sure looks angry and convulsed in your picture

I think it is very real, Tiger Lily; but as you've sadly pointed out to me; it's probably already too late to avert world wide disaster since not nearly enough people listen to this message.
This makes me want to move to those mountains even faster.
