Fearfully and Wonderfully Made -the womb

This was written as a result of Jude's poem "Living in the womb of the dead"

The son met his mother
Encased within her womb
Most of his first year spent there
Receiving all Creator's gifts for life

The man lost his mother at birth
Now visists her in the tomb
Recognizing the cord of infinity
Bonding with bones and spirit

We concentrate on the miracle of birth
Forgetting  the importance of months before
All of the meaning of life is ingrained
Imprinted in the womb of Creator's design

Our mothers host us for a time
All the best we receive from her
Is being formed within her womb
Creator hosts us for all time

That is why David said in
Psalm 139:13-14

"For you have formed my inward parts
You have covered me in my mother's womb

I will praise you for I am fearfully and
wonderfully made

Marvelous are your works, and that my soul knows very well"

The child and the mother are forever bonded
Within the Creator's spirit and His design
An eternal relationship formed in the womb

Marvelous job. The womb is where the relationship between a mother and child begins and the bond grows stronger as time passes by. Jude's poem had influenced many poets here at the Den. I like poems to have such an impact. In reading some of the reviews below I was struck by the words of a reviewer and I am now inspired to write a poem on some of her comments. I go to my site to write a very short poem. GBQ

So touched I was by Jude's poem, I wanted to write one myself. Glad you did, Eileen. I remember when my son was in my womb and how he rocked and kicked when I played music. Music is his love to this day.
We know that babies can hear their mother's heartbeat. Perhaps the rhythm of each individual heartbeat is as unique as we are. The tragedy is that Jude couldn't hear his mother's heartbeat after he was born. Is this the deepest sense of loss? Very fine write...

This is very well-writtened, which is always a treat. I think the mother and child bond is an amazing one, and I hope someday to find it out for myself.

Not got down to Judes poem yet. But to this I relate as my mother's mum died just as my mum was born...

Yes the treasures that we carry are loved and cared for from the begining of the thought of praying to be blessed with one. I'll never forget the first 9 months.......and apparently I have learnt my daughter has some memory of that time :-)

You sadded this poem, climbed aboard and rode with the poetical wind, lasso whirling overhead. Words, phrases and ideas you caught with that lariat, hog-tied it and branded it Eilen's Property, then you put it all within the poem. Attyaboygirl!!!

Beautiful Eileen! And so mysterious!

Fearfully and wonderfully made indeed. If this is true than how ought we treat one another? And how much of the Creators love should be in those expressions to one another?

You are a light dear one!

I could visualize the Madonna and Child in this exquisite analyis of Jude's most recent poem " Living Within The Womb Of The Dead "...

It is an eternal bond formed in Heaven..

A mother's love is the closest thing to God's love, that's why He made them co-creators of the earth with the children they bore from their womb.

The blueprint of our life is created in the womb of our mother. Our DNA builds us into the unique individual we are and the emotions of our mother while she is carrying us, ingrains in us our personality and outlook on life. Like a branch of the tree forming a new budding rose, the essence of our mother is the living force inside every molecule of our being. This is a beautiful response to Jude's poem, I see he has touched many of us with his "Living Within The Womb Of The Dead" poem and he has touched each of us differently.
Take care,
Sherry

The bond a mother and child have is sacred to this day. The sustanance for life being ...given everyday...the infants strength being improved and the warmth the womb gives is security once we're born...we miss. The mother and child will always be holy. Beautiful poem .
Love and peace,
Susan
