Blame it on the fever;-)

I was walking on water,it turned to dry land
As I continued on it turned to
Deep snow up to my knees
Made it very difficult to walk
I was chilled and becoming numb
When the snow turned to quicksand
Just as it reached my underarms
It turned to an ocean I began to swim
Got carried into a riptide just before
I drowned I was forced up against a rock
I clung to a cleft keeping my head out of water

I saw a boat and waved to it, as it came
Closer I saw it was a whale and I cried
The whale swallowed me and took me
To shore and spit me out on dry sand
When I awoke I was on a mountain top
Just as I got up looked around it erupted
I fell from the tremors it caused, but I
Wasn't hurt and began rolling downhill
As I rolled the mountain became a cloud
I was flying on an Eagles wings and
As we came out of the clouds into the sun
I was walking on water, it turned to dry land

All the sequences were repeating ....weird...

I awoke restless, trying to understand it all .Somehow it reminded me of a never ending tape that keeps replayng, kind of like  that ground hog movie Bill Murray played in.

Some scoff at the validity of our dreams.. I am not one of those. I do not understand the implications of most but that's okay too.. Your piece is filled with such imagery that it paints a most vivid picture.. well done!

seems to be various stages of emotional upheaval moving from one level to another ... the repeating part of it may be the cycle of change declining to produce any results ... a never ending tape has a sense of frustration to it ... fevers do have a tendency to put one into this state of mind where walking on water gives one a sense of bouyancy and a sensation of cooling off ... very effective recall ...

fascinating. somehow seems to sort of fit who you are, Eileen - a warrior of faith whose trust in the Creator will sustain you even as creation crumbles around you. and the Jonah-like aspects only remind me of your powerful voice of wisdom so needed in our little Nineveh. still hope you lose the fever. take care, Dawn

reminds me of a dream i had a few years back. I was standing along the banks of a swiftly moving stream of water. The water had a very cold look to it, as i could see chunks of ice swirling around in the eddy's. There, in the middle of the stream, was an angry horrid looking beast of a man. He was beckoning me to enter the stream, Calling me down so that we could commence fighting. I thouhgt to myself, how unfair, there is no way i could have any hope of winning the fight because the icy cold water and its strong current alone were enough to sap away my strength. Just then, this radiant, strong powerful man jumped into the stream. He grabbed the beast and began thrashing about like a bull tosses a matador. He whipped the beast to and fro, relentlessly pummeling the beast first up the stream, and then back down the stream. It was then that something really amazing happened. The stream dried up into a bed of sand. It was then that i felt confident enough to take on the challange of fighting the beast myself.

When i woke up, i had to reflect on the dream and its meaning. I came to the conclusion that the beast was none other than Satan. The hero was God. The dream showed me that the devil does not always fight fair, but that God will always be there to protect me. To level the playing field.

And they walked by day, following a pillar of smoke. And by night, they followed a pillar of fire.

Eileen ...

I am assumed because you wrote "you awoke," that this was a vision or a dream. I am going to save this and pray about wisdom for it. If I am given any I will share it.

I am mesmerized with these kinds of visions.

Stand Strong blessed and curious writer!

In this cataclysmic world we live in it's little wonder where dreams come from that we can't seem to make any sense out of them but they are influenced by what our mind has stored from real events. Hope the fever passes and you are well again. That's some retreat you go to, what a pic.

This cataclysmic dream has strong Biblical connotations...
Perharps you have been gifted with a stunning vision of things to come

I think that is Bibical in nature, myself, hope I am not getting too personal, but after all, it is a poem about you and your dreams. I used to think I could walk on water. Matter of fact, I haven't given up on the idea, maybe tomorrow . . . Yeah, maybe tomorrow I'll give it another shot. I'll let you know.

Your creative muse never sees'es to amaze me throughly.Yes, Eileen, you truly truly ARE a voice for the Divine..Heaven speaks in every thing you write..All dreams have meanings.I get messages simply by typing and by being out there in the world, a prophetic word comes to me quite freqently and then it comes true every time, so I know the prophesy is right on.It is all to show us there is a future, past and now that we can tap into with the gifts we have been given..Not everyone is highly sensitive us but we are all sensitive..

Peace & Love, Dove
