Have so many poems,forgot to post this About a month ago I watched a nature show on pbs It showed how the Bush people in "Australia according to their mythology, believe all snakes came from water to become many other things Herpatologists there doing a study on this found a python with teeth. The ugliest thing I ever saw a snake with teeth and looked like it could be a human face. It gave me the shivers, and I wrote this poem. The strange thing is I had written a story a couple months ago, some of you read, called Zar the Shapeshifter,about a man that shape shifted into a snake. Now that really shook me;-) lol !

It slithered out of the water wove serpentine in the sand when it came to a large boulder it shape shifted and stood up as man it felt an inordinate amount of power looking all around beholding the land It decided it must be the worlds master To control all that he saw with his hands Everything was lush with vibrant life His master plan was to start with a mate Within a short time the world was in strife The planet was confused full of hate He tried to slither back from where he came But to his utter dismay it was too late The toxic water soon cost him his fame And the shark whose appetite he did sate
Yeah and bunyips roam the parkland at night too LOLOL, oh dear, "heeelp Snake"

Dont mind me, that was my fav comic strip lolol
They are all flamin ugly, specially when they are on the front door step havin a go at the cat!
We have had to call out the snake catcher several times to remove the red belly blacks, and king brownies, kill yah stone dead if you dont get help asap.
Brownies can bite and you dont know you have been hit, till your eyelids start drooping with paralysis, have to watch kids for this sigh. Found a young brownie in the gutter last season, a bird must of picked it up and dropped it off. I've been removing all havens for breeding the last year or so, too darn dangerous maaate.
Anyway enuff of that rot..LOL

A worthy poem, but I'm trying not to picture THIS snake!! And will await the morn to go read about Zar! LOL
A python does bite like a human....certainly different from the cobra I know because I had first hand experience of what that bite can do to you...I will write all about that in my Autobiography called "Abandoned Life"

What a web we cast around us when we practic to decieve! Great message! Just heard about a blue spider, quite deadly, but can only come above ground in the desert from underneath a catus, under the full moon. Interesting creatures we share our world with :-)

In the words of Indiana Jones as he was being tossed into a pit of his greatest fear..."It had to be snakesssss!!!" I do not like snakes at all, not even the gentle ones and I atribute this to my father who, the first time he took us camping, told us about the deadly rattlesnake. He even went so far as to take us on a hike and show us the pattern that they make in the dirt so that we would never be unaware of where they were. He finished it off by actually continuing and finding the snake, teased it with a stick so we could hear the sound of the rattle and see it ready itself to strike...I still get a quick chill when I remember that, but I have always been very smart when I hike since that day. I see the lowly serpent as an evil and to see one with the face of a human would be enough to force me into therapy. Vivid and disturbing images, Eileen.

Hi Eileen. Interesting take on serpents. It has a Biblical ring to it.
Most snakes, even a lowly hog snake has teeth, as I found out when one bit me. The sharp, backward slanted teeth function to help them hold and swallow prey.
