Poem Artwork

The sun fades
the birds nest
the memory wades
the trees rest
crimson crevices
open in dreams
shifting molecules
flood the scene
stygian night
ready to fright
In the marvelous
mythical murky
world of magic
many things happen
some are tragic
phantoms quiescent
nymphs aflutter
mans descent
from cosmic clutter
vampyres jump
out of trees
look like panthers
on a tease
wolves howl
causing chills
hooting owls
adding thrills
when witches fly
and rats roam
it's time bye bye
head for home
open the door
a ghost is there
to take you for
some ghoulish cheer

eeeeoooooooooaaaaaahaha

Eileen, as I read this, your voice brought visions of a certain magical eeriness and a desire to take a quick look over my shoulder. I liked the picture and thought it to be appropriate for the writing. This is a marvelous Halloween poem and I'll bet many readers will enjoy as much as i did. Great!!!

Great job with this one, Eileen. There are a lot of imageries and sound effect in this one.

And boo to you too, Eileen! Very well done; brava! Yet I don't celebrate Hallowe'en; I don't celebrate a holiday that takes precedence over Christmas.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
