Bottom Line - Satan wants innocent children.
The younger he can get to them the harder their hearts get.
Disease, abortions, drug abuse etc etc.
No examples to look up to.
It's gotten so out of control, I don't know where to start.
They ridicule God's son,
Yet I think he's the only one who change mens thoughts about whats
right and whats right. And that usually comed in the form of suffering.

Excellent speak-out, Eileen...a topic that needs many commentaries! I just don't understand where the parents are in these matters. I mean, aren't they paying the bills? But I think the training needs to begin with toddlers...who's the parent and who's the child! Clothes, TVs, cell-phones, expensive games are not good alternatives for quality time with children...

gosh,, it is all too much, I will never forget when I went to my daughters 6th grade conferences and there were notices for parents that many of the children were already having sex,, My mouth dropped,,,just crazy. and that was 10 years ago.

Funny how age makes us see clearer. I think it was Homer who wrote first of the lost innocence of youth. It is a two-edged sword. We want our kids to run worry free and do kid things and still have the presence to detect predators. You are right, though. Too many parents use their kids to live out fantasies rather than allow them the opportunity to be children.

Good rhyming poem with a needed message BUT one disagreement: can you blame kids - it's more their parents and the media's fault. Because Americans have become a teenage-idol culture in music, TV, movies and models. Go in any clothing store and you'll see pre-teens in all the ads made out with makeup to look like alluring older woman (to Sell!) And ever since the Britany's and others this society holds out all these award$ if they'll just DO IT! No paying dues anymore just "see how talented my kid is" - cynical but true.

A lot of truth in this, though I must say that those who are yet too young to make choices for themselves (if that age still exists!) are often dressed as mini-sirens whilst still in nappies by their yummy-mummies. And don't we just oo and goo at the baby fashions we can purchase for our latest new addition and the cuteness of it all? The doublemindedness starts with fashion-conscious friends and family members, too, I think. Is any of us immune? Which of our children still welcome hand-knitted baby bonnets, lovingly crafted by the knitters in the family? To our cost, sadly. Label-awareness is a devastating part of our overblown consumerist society... so much for choice. Who has the choice to opt out... yeah, right, and pay the price of social exclusion. What kid wants that? A total can of worms that, as ever, you put your very deft finger on. TY Kate xx

I decided with my two almost grown now, not
to have cable, or internet service for them.
My kids don't miss it because they've never had
it here at home.
Sure, I let them do reserch on my internet, but
we have always kept a close eye.
I don't understand all the tatoo mess. It is so
cheap looking and something that is just not took off.

The spread of sexual diseases has now infected many girls and boys in ages 14 to 19 teen and the numbers keep going up. You always bring these problems to the forefront, and rightly so, as it has gotten out of hand and these kids seem to ignore the consequences of their actions. Bravo Eileen

Well said, don't give up on them. They are trying their wings and they are getting them singed. They will learn eventually but at a such a high price. All we can do, is be there when they fall to help them up again and hope they learned. Job well done my friend. Food for thought. Love, Bonnie

I read you every day, sweetie, but felt I should comment on this one. You are so right. At MySpace it has been a struggle to keep the porn off my page, and a good deal of the porn and smut is on authors websites. I guess they think if they write romance, they should show T & A to be sophisticated. Bah. Think? I don't think thinking is a priority these days. And what about the commercials that are pumped into every home. Nothing is sacred any more. Kids have to grow up much too fast these days. Keep telling it like it is.

Nowadays, more than likely, it is the girls who make the move on boys . . . You were always just a little ahead of us when it came to that kind of stuff, but now it is completely out of hand . . .
