It Was Just A Dream

I heard you calling, but where did you go,
I could see your face, You drifted away,
I could feel your soft skin close to mine,
But you soon faded through the day.

I cried as I watched, but what could I do,
Just sit there in my room and wait,
I looked around, you were long gone,
I couldn't help, I was way too late.

In the quietness, I wondered,
What's happened, what does all this mean,
Why do I feel so helpless for you,
Then I woke and realized, it was just a dream.

So real, the feeling I've lost you,
With you gone, never again to be found,
No way to change what has happened,
My God tell me what have I done wrong.

All day I could see you fading,
What reason, would this be on my mind,
I know now this was just a dream, perhaps,
Or something that will happen in time
