The Cry's Of Innocent Children

I know this man who has two children from a previous marriage and he is going through a hard time trying to get custody of his kids since they've been abused by their mother, and no one wants to give him the right direction to go. I just wish I had all the answers but they say money speaks. Everyone is telling him, he needs a lawyer but again money speaks, but who will speak for those innocent children when they no longer can speak for themselves.

The Cry's Of  Innocent Little Children

I hear the fearful sounds,
The one's I've heard before,
Yes the cry's of  innocent children,
Beating viciously at the door.
Their screaming little voice,
We hear it loud and clear,
We run to help them from the danger
And wipe away their tears.
Who else will they turn to,
If we should turn them away,
Who will help them love again,
And live their life each day.
Who could hurt this child,
This tiny piece of art,
That have given so much joy to us,
And filled the darkness in our heart.
The cry's of innocent children,
Hurt from bruises deep within,
The scars they carry in their hearts,
To tell, they don't know where to begin.
We have to help their spirits,
Show them that yes someone really cares,
Hold them and protect them always,
Let them know as we wipe away their tears.
How dear they hurt a child,
If I could be their only way,
I'd be their to love and protect them,
Every minute of everyday.

Another sad commentary on our culture. I loved the line "this tiny piece of art" it is so true.

Thanks,
Dan

Very powerful and beautiful images of a love for children that ought to be universal in society.

Rose, I hear you and feel for these children. It does seem so unfair that a lack of money leads to such injustice. I can only pray that justice is served and these children will be saved from such an awful situation. Lovely poem that will speak to the hearts of all those who truly care.
