My Plan

I plan to live a long good life,
Laughing whenever I feel,
To share a smile with others,
And let them know my love is real.

I plan to look in that mirror,
And love who’s standing there,
I want to be the happiest I can,
And shed only happy tears.

I plan to smell the flowers;
Hear the birds as they sing for me,
Take a walk barefoot on the beach,
And watch the boats go out to sea.

I plan to enjoy nature,
Hold my grandkids on my knee,
Give all I’ve got to give to them,
Because that’s the plan for me.

I plan to be a little mischievous,
I want my loved ones to know,
I’ve loved them all through my life,
When it’s my turn to go.

I plan to leave with no regrets,
Of what I’m leaving here  behind,
Because I lived a fulfilled life,
My life has treated me kind.
