- An adult that needs to grow -

Poem Artwork

Turn around,
she wants to see you
so that she can tell
the drought and famine,
the feeling of damage
by the way you look at her.

Brown spots,
rotting arthropods,
she knows that you are in pain.
Hiding is not necessary,
leave your burrow straightaway
and face fresh streams of truth.

With eyes like X-rays,
there's so much she can tell.
Alas, you have no skeleton,
your skin sticking to an outer shell,
you spend your day in a swamp
with a carapace that's sleepy gray.

It is time to molt
- grow inside today -
just evolve, breathe, work, reform
until (maybe) you give up your shell:
hardening bones and softening heart
before she has a change of mood.

A very touching poem, quite mature in thought and expression, would be happy if can be in touch the author

We all hide beneath our outer shell, protecting our hearts from pain and sorrow..

Interesting study of what seems so simple yet like humanity can be a veritable mystery of life.

At times one finds themselves within a shell, not wishing or having the desire to evolve...there is more to life than hiding within oneself to only share the passing of time...your thoughts express a view of growth and rejuvenation upon breaking free from the shell...

nice work...
