The spring breezes blow capriciously:
First warm, then cold,
Then warm again.
The greening willow in our yard
Whips and sways with each breath
That the awakening Earth exhales,
While the daffodils stand firm
Like small yellow sentinels.
Clouds roll in,
Dark and threatening,
Bringing with them
Heavenly fire
And natures percussion,
Then rain in staccato bursts.
Minutes, hours later,
The sun reemerges
And illuminates the lingering mists.
A rainbow appears,
And all is well.
