Standing in bunches
Along the hillside,
Their warm yellow color
So bright
It should melt
The snow
That falls around
And between them.
They are Spring's
Gentle rebels,
These daffodils;
Examples of toughness,
Emissaries of grace,
They bring joy
To those

The long winter,
And hope to others
