The world grows crazier
With each passing day
With random shootings in churches
And young people killing one another
In schools.
What has happened
To our self control
And the basic belief
That life is precious?
Some say gun control is the answer
But I am no longer sure;
I think guns just make it easier
To do what now comes naturally,
If not a gun then a knife
Or a moving vehicle,
Or even bare hands
(Ask any abused wife).
I think the world is spiritually bankrupt,
An armada of souls without rudders,
And until we regain our direction
We will only degenerate further.
Is life any crazier than it was or do we just have more knowledge of such doings immediately. Like we are on the front lines suddenly with knowledge a click away? You've got the right answer but how do we do it? Awesome write. Liz
