And now reality returns
As this extraordinary affair
Reaches its quiet end;
I can not blame you
For saying goodbye
For I am not
A whole woman,
I am instead
A fractured semblance
With too many scars
And missing pieces,
A past that I can not escape
And a present
That demands that I be more
Than I truly am.
I regret only
The nights, the kisses
That never were,
And when March comes
The final loss
Of a sweet, sweet dream.
I will miss you, my knight,
And pray you will not remember me
Harshly.

Oh how utterly sad, your heart just cries so deeply in a sea of lost lives, emotionally powerful....

Be always safe,
