I took the next step today;
I made a hotel reservation
For my visit in March.
It's for a turret room
In a Victorian hotel,
With views of the Tetons
Out every window
And a romantic canopied bed
For us to share
Should we so desire.
I realize
This is not
What you might prefer,
But
With our history,
Or lack of,
Neutral ground
With plenty of room
To change our minds
Is what we need.
Please don't be upset
With me for considering
The foolhardiness
Of my gamble
In flying all the way
To Wyoming
To see you.
Were I anyone else
Would you not agree
It is for the best?
Yes, Neutral ground, but from whom? Take care little girl and do what Jeanne D'Arc didn't, wear a flak-jacket...just in case, protect your heart, it is precious to all of us.
