Poem Artwork

O the joy
Of scented
Effervescence!
I watch impatiently
As you fill the tub
With mounds upon mounds
Of irridescent froth
Bubbing up from
The steaming flow
Of water.
You are the fulfillment
Of the promise I made
To myself
Earlier in the day,
My rich reward
For completing the tasks
I assigned myself,
For making it through
The hours
Of everyday stress.
Now I light candles,
Turn out the harsh light,
And strip with abandon
Before succumbing at last
To your decadent welcome...

Don't mind Ron...he probably doesn't know chocolate is decadent, either!
And delicious--this bubble bath sounds absolutely delicious, definitely decadent!
But seriously, I don't remember ever hearing such an ode to a bubble bath before...you have presented a delightful analysis.

I never thought about getting allover clean as being decadent. I always thought that involved another being as well. But everyone has their own way to pleasure. Getting all sudsy in candlelight sounds pretty benign to me.
