I sit alone,
Listening
To the thunder
Of an approaching
Storm,
Sipping from
A glass of
Red wine
And pondering
How best to spend
The evening.
Should I
Watch a sitcom?
Or should I
View a movie?
Should I
Read some more
About
The courtship and marriage
Of the romantic
Brownings?
Or should I
Lose myself
In the pages
Of a steamy romance novel?
Bedtime is still
Hours away,
There’s plenty of time
Before I must
Turn out the lights;
Maybe I will
Have a snack and
Endeavor to do it all!
I have spent many a night contemplating these same issues so I can appreciate this write, it is not so much about the uncertainty though as it is about having choices to choose from...

An intimate view of evening contemplation that many of us go through in poetry. Beautifully expressed. I will not go so far as sitcoms with their canned or coached live audience laughter, chasing the Brownings, any poetry or read a romance novel.
I guess that leaves me with little to do. I found that out last night while looking for two movies to watch. I seem to have gone through all the good movies that are available to me on XFINITY, my cable service. Good shows, too.
So I settled for a true story of the five times married woman who got caught up in a religious cult and the second coming, murdering her two children and probably, three of her husbands. Wonderful stuff of dreams. And for the usual, chase movie where million-dollar vehicles are destroyed in cgi, not reality just for the fun of it as beautiful scenery flies by, there's a lot of collateral damage, and the police are totally stymied.
Guess I missed a good movie last night. Will try again next Saturday.
