It sure was a tragic truly American story! I also wrote a lyric about this (in my poetry den) that as a vocalist/pianist I am hoping to finally record this spring. I chose to see it through the eyes of a historical participant in one of 'many trail of tears' the Native Americans went through in the late 1800's...
