The work I had to do
when I broke up with you
took a while to complete
when done, thought "quite a feat"

Then while up late at night
online, you crossed my mind
typed your name,
got your site
then pictures of your eyes

were staring back at me
when there, thought "this can't be"
as tears came rushing up
hands in vain tried to cup

my mouth and then I stifled
an unexpected rifle
of emotions thought dead
"damn!" I thought, then read

up on you, your new life
tears stinging surprised eyes
you worked alot, got busy
too much for me- got dizzy,

I wiped the pain away
tears took your "blame" that day.
Because love is asleep
the secret of you keeps.

The work I have to do
when I get over you
may just complete me yet
over you, if I get . .

Regret I still love you
button set, thought would do
like an alarm clock wish
my fussy silent sshhhhhhh . . . .

is trying to match my love
whose loyalty's above
my mind or commanding
my heart is my love's king.
