This was written for a young friend of mine who was dating a blind girl. She was worried that he would not stay with her because she was blind. I wrote this for them and as far as I know, they are still together.

Flowers in the spring, butterflies in space,
the sun glowing warmly on your face.

Reds, pinks and golds in the sky as the sun rises,
brings promises of a new day full of surprises.

Trees growing so tall, birds flying by,
children asking questions that all end in why.

People strolling along the summer beach,
crowds gathering to hear a man preach.

Girls jumping rope, boys throwing a ball,
I want to shout and tell you about it all.

Laughing, crying, loving together the rest of our life,
as long as we have each other, it does'nt matter the strife.

As we near the autumn we can look back on it all,
and realize that together we just had a ball.

It does'nt matter you see, how you see or I see,
what matters is that I looked at life through you and you through me.
