From legends of King Arthur's court
This bard tancends through time
But grateful is this damsel
For he's a friend of mine

A wit and charm, some platitude
His pen's his mighty sword
Cutting through semantics
A romanticist of word

His heart is true , belonging to
A captivating maiden
Within the lines you'll see her there
Each phrase is heavy laden

Entrancing is the banter
Inwhich we excercise
A friendly reparte' of laughs
And other words to wise

Devoid of all the pressures
That courting would transpire
It's solace just to have a pal
To draw from or inspire

My humble thanks, for such a friend
Through mists of time, none true r
Exacting not the elements
Of paramour or suitor

There in lies a comfort
To spend such time, awhile
To bask in the equality
To make eachother smile

And though we may have missed our time
In lands of legends, lore
Each to his own, we give the gift
Of verse, forevermore
