I'm Only To Be Blamed For Loving You...

Poem Artwork

To The Man Who Broke My Heart
By La Belle Rouge

you broke it, you totally shattered it
and then you completely crushed it
with hateful sarcastic words
only worried about you
and your feelings
never mine

never mine
always someone else’s
still blaming me, as usual
i won’t take your false blame
i bear no blame, look in the mirror
at the one who broke all his promises

how could i ever have loved you at all?
i believed those lies and held back
nothing of my heart and soul
you had all of me so long
i truly adored you
you lying fake

only a big fake
who lived in two worlds
real one i was never invited into
and the dream one you built with me
look in the mirror, and just think about this
in life or dreams you will never find such love again

So sad La Belle, I agree with SC for he doesn't deserve to know love. Thank you for sharing.

sometimes its easier to lay blame on the other than to look into the mirror and see the truth for what it is. The fake he is. Sad poem. His lost, not yours.

Strong and very powerful, he wasn't worthy enough to have you, your beautiful soul is worth more, find your strength, chalk it up as experience and move on life is to short to waste on the past, great write here, take care Valerie

And he shouldn't, but with so many of them around it is difficult to find an honest man among them.
