NOW HEAR THIS
By La Belle Rouge

you keep the juices flowing
through the gossip grapevine
if you wanna blame the wrong person
you're dumb and that's fine

read my lips, you arrogant bitch
no lies no slips

I DON’T WANT YOUR MAN

if he presents himself for lovin
like somethin hot from the oven
i won't take him if i can
wouldn't jump in the fire
from the fryin pan, besides...
he’s not much of a man

foot kissing little wuss
doing whatever he must
to keep you in the dark
one might end then another start

i know you watch me well
ms. mysterious xx from hell
let me further assure you
you’ve nothing to worry about
i wouldn’t give him my love
if his bleeding heart was hangin out

i suppose you think he’s a prize
even with all his deceit and lies
i’d take a cracker jacks one any day
so set your paranoid mind at ease
and stop trailing me please

i write a lot of poetry
doesn’t mean it’s all about me
and believe me, it’s not about him
his chances with me are none and slim
if it has any good sentiments in it
it’s not about him...get it?

just stay in your part of the world
and i’ll stay over here in mine
then we’ll all get along just fine
let me state this loud and clear
so even the dumb or deaf can hear

I DON’T WANT YOUR MAN

Too bad some think we have nothing else to do but write love words to their man, I always thought poetry was what we put on paper fiction or non fiction. Thanks La Belle, you set them straight for all of us.

Newfie hugs, Rose

Inspirational. But how did you know my ex wasn't much of a ... but a whole lot of bull. You won't have him? But I beg of you, please take him and his slob ways and reassure him that leaving me would be his best way. Now LaBelle, help, please. Even divorced he finally got unmad and bugged me again. Then he went and died and he isn't bothering me anymore, but I understand he finally is stiff. hehehehe. Excellent write. I hope the deaf dumb and blind become enlightened. But you might consider taking mine...He's no problem now. (I'm sick and loving it.) hehehehehe...Love this one. Liz

Is my wife bugging you sweets, she's just jealous cause she can't write that firey sexy verse like you. And you're right I'm not much of a man anyway, I'll keep her in check ok dear, (this is a fictional joke review everyone, my wife doesn't care a thing about verse or reading it hehehehe) great rant Belle, is it non fiction? hugs

Not sure if this was aimed at a real person or just a metaphorical one but either way you told it like it is. We write from inspiration and that inspiration can come from many sources. People should not be so quick to confuse fictional and non fictional works. Very well stated La Belle.

Way to go, my dear friend! An excellent poem, with a clear, incisive message! Whoever she is, finding out the true reasons for his constant straying would be a far more constructive use of her time, instead of pestering good and honest people's lives... and if he's, indeed, such a s**t, perhaps offering him for a good price at a garage sale would be a solution to consider, LOL!
Much love and admiration, always,
