Moments Of Joy
By La Belle Rouge

late in life
not too late
she learned that joy,
being momentary,
was elusive
and pursuit of peace
unfruitful

she learned,
not soon enough
that help was beyond
feeble capabilities
of well wishers
religious exercises
or pills

and so she learned
to fill the page with
life and death
to purge her soul
with cathartic words
creating moments
of joy

When we learn that life is bigger than us. And when our soul cries out to God he hears, he answers and we can become the express image of His love! Thank you for pouring out your heart in this magnificent piece of Poetry. Peace may it never cease!!!
