He is surely no Pawn. No, not a Pawn-- irrelevant.
He is a Bishop. He slides diagonally across our minds--penetrates our thoughts.
He is a Rook. A Castle, forthrightly plunging straight into subjects, no matter how daunting.
But he is no Pawn-- spent to make way for royalty.
He is then, a Knight. Moving his "L"-shaped philosophies to counter our poetical movements.
He is both Queen and King. He moves in every direction--moves us in every way, come witty, weird, warm-hearted, or warriorly.
He moves one step at a time. He moves us line-by-line.
And he is no Pawn-- falling friendless-- side-stepping foe.
No, not a Pawn, but a Chess-mate of God.
Darlin Belle, if ever there was a reason for Georg to further need the will to live, then this would be it. Such a beautiful, felt profession of soul-deep friendship and appreciation; of care, concern and constant watchfulness on his behalf. Right here, right now, he will be smiling in his drowse aware that his beautiful Red Queen is facing up to The Master on his behalf - and he will trust her with his game. Sincere and wholly meant.
