The elf on the shelf is watching you
He's watching everything you do
From his perch he can see it all
Each person there, big and small
Are you being bad or being good?
Doing all the things you should?
The elf on the shelf has a cell phone
And every night he phones home
He talks to Santa about your day
Do you wonder what he might say?
He gives a report all about you
As Santa checks his list a time or two
During the night while you sleep
Around the house the elf will creep
You never know where you'll find
The curious elf in the morning time
Don't ever touch the little guy
Or away his holiday magic will fly
Mind your manners and don't cry
'Cause soon Santa's sleigh will fly
Up on your rooftop with lots of toys
But only for good little girls and boys
So be really good whatever you do

Yes, Susan, he is watching (ogling more like it), and loving every bit of it. We have a secret. He won't tell on me and I won't tell what he does with the pretty little doll Santa puts 'neath the tree.
A great little poem to scare the kiddies with. You are so inventive with this poem. I can see some nerd in Silicon Valley seeing your idea and coming out with his/her version of the Elf on the Shelf, getting it funded on Shark Tank to be sold in all the big-box stores and online now that Toys "R" Us is defunct.
