a well of God's grace and your love

where I learned to be who I truly am
a place of tranquility and passion
where the desert could be forgotten
hands that had labored and aided
hands that knew no appreciation
now daily kissed by your lips of love
a well in the desert, a well of love
where tears are mingled with
the water of life, never devalued
for God has saved them in his bottle
and you have kissed the eyes of sorrow

I love the imagery here. Excellent juxtaposition of an arid, lifeless desert and it's dweller being brought back to life by the healing, loving waters from a well. Sharp and poignant contrasts all around. Interestingly, the well is mentioned to be hidden in the desert all along which I think drives home the point of finding love in an empty desert; true love being a needle in a haystack kind of vibes. The world is a big place, and finding true love is a treasure not found by all. Also, congratulations on the new book!
