No vestige be by broken bow
To hear the plows pass through snow
Cool mist on mountain high
To the wings the white doves fly

Poppies burst along side the Monte cello
Tuscan red and tints of yellow
Sand script writing carved in stone
A passage scribed we’re not alone

Quill thy hand and quiver thou heart
Before the heavens tears depart
Like a river ruptures into the seas
The leaves surrender to the breeze

Jest I may in disarray
Then be bound to this display
No I jest and jest for what
This is mine and not your lot

Tainted hand and slight of feather
For we are all in this together
So take the knife that stabs at thee
