Child abuse is so sad. I agree with Michael. The subject is as terrible as a car wreck and as well written as and wondrous as a flower blooming.

This poem is constructed in a way that demands one to read on and, having done so, demands a re-read again and again. Beautiful and poignant language intelligently using the power of contrast to make a point that needs deep reflection and positive action from politicians AND the community alike. This is really a classic heartfelt cry for action to eliminate child violence and abuse. Thank you for posting it.
