Through those scary, stormy nights, and days of blistering heat, I take my weapon in hand and with it, control weather.
Creating a safe haven from any storm, Creating perfect conditions all year 'round, I can change my world with a stroke of a pen, The world of poetry is my new playground.
Through days of incessant pain, When it doesn't. Go. AWAY, I take my weapon in hand and write my own prescription.
Creating comfort on those days I need rest, Creating health where there was none before, I can change my world with a stroke of a pen, The pen, truly, is mightier than the sword.
Took me along time here but i agree the pen is mightier than the sword. Has taken the pen and released pain so many times,,
Keep that pen at your bedside and use it instead of a pill

Which is also one of my favorite hymns.
Second stanza is well written, by way of being able to change things of ugliness in to things of beauty...
I take my pen in my hand and write my own prescription.
The final stanza is positive and so full of faith....
