Keep me in your prayers--now on top of my Fibro acting up, have a pinched nerve in my neck and left arm...

Poem Artwork

I close my eyes
And climb upon an eagle's wings
Hoping he'll take me far from here
Where life's problems and other things
Keep me earthbound by strands of fear

I close my eyes
Ask a passing cloud for a ride
To anywhere that's free from pain
There's no shelter where I can hide
I'm forced to face it once again

I close my eyes
I'm imprisoned by iron hands
I struggle, but cannot get free
Pain clamps me down with rigid bands
My eyes burst from the agony

I close my eyes
And ask God if He really cares
Sometimes, I think He ignores me
I wonder if He hears my prayers
Does He enjoy my agony

I close my eyes
And wish they would stay closed for good
But with the morn, I rise once more
I go on, like I knew I could
But damn, I'm tired, I implore

Oh Karla, the more I read the more I want to take this pain from you. This horrible experience has achieved only one thing and that is that you have written such amazing poetry. I am in awe of you being able to do so under such circumstances. I have had some experience of what you are going through (but not exactly the same) and I know how hard it is just to function never mind to be creative as well. I believe in my heart you will get through precious girl. My heartfelt prayers are with you... Chanti

Yes Karla, He hears you, and no He doesn't enjoy your pain. I know sometimes it may feel that way.
He never gives us more than we can handle!
I will pray for you, Lisa

(((Karla)))

If I could just take away a fraction of the pain you are experiencing, I WOULD, believe you me, but I am NOT God. Only He can do that (or a doctor)! Please don't give up hope; it hurts me when you hurt, and it hurts when you say that He has given up on you! He HASN'T, and you have GOT to believe that! Powerful, heartshattering write; I pray things get better for you soon!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >tears <
