Wrap my body in shrouds of poetry for it was faithful and never laughed or pointed fingers at my lack of talent and never threw my words down on the floor - It accepted me as the Poet I dreamed of becoming and supported me through all of the highs and lows of writing , teaching me on what it was to be free - With laughing streamers of meter and rhyme I fished for the right word to use in seas of poetic brilliance and hoped for a miracle or two that would come in threes - As long as there was a pen in my hand , it stepped back and watched me with growing pride as I flung the words into existance with my Muse who was along for the ride - And the ride is coming to a stop now and there is one request before I die : wrap my body in shrouds of poetry , it deserves to be recognized - not I .

Excellent request! And it shall be done! But I must differ with your opinion of yourself for my dear your muse is You!! So you Both need to be recognized as the true brilliant ones that you are!! xo!! and so therefore and heretowith if I am the one to see that your final request be carried out as wished I will have to do the request as it should be done. (c :)honoring YOU and your muse!
Do you not read The Forese, Karla?! The Poem and the Poet are one! Can't have one without the other, but sometimes it IS difficult to know who's boss! Your poetry is only in existance because YOU write it... I nearly posted Natasha Bedingfield's song "Unwritten" whole the other day: she says it all: "Feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you - only you can let it in! No one else can speak the words on your lips. Drench yourself in words unspoken, live your life with arms wide open, TODAY is where your book begins - the rest is still unwritten". Thanks Nat, and thank YOU Karla, Light of the Den! :)) LOL Kate xx
If ya' ain't in too big a hurry to go, I'll agree with every word, and will ask for the cubicle right next to yours and other true believers. Bless your poetic heart, Sweet Lady, you do tell it like it is! - Bill

Telling it like it is, that's for sure. All we can hope for is that our words will survive us. Very dynamic and insightful piece of your soul wrapped up in this poem.
Powerful read; I hope you don't ever stop writing! You have a gift that needs to be shared with the world, and you only get better and better! Well done, Poet! BRAVA!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >tears <
Karla don't you dare think that way, your poetry will live on for sure but you are not to give in to the dark forces, too many people here on the den still need to hear your words. Hugs,
Felix
