all poets are mad -- that's why Plato didn't consider poets suitable to teach children --

but like Jude said the poets madness
is saving madness --

for the poet and her world...

there is a poem in that phrase

"saving madness"

Spot on, Karla! Must go with the territory of the creative psyche. What totally sane or single-dimensional character ever achieved anything of note in this world, as far as we can tell? Genius IS mad, isn't it?! Now I don't know whether I'm feeding your insecurity or your self-esteem, but I hope you will be able to tell by the general nodding of approval here and below that we all think that this kind of schizophrenia rocks in your case! Last stanza particularly potent and I am sure could be applied to the autobiographical notes of all our treasured "Greats"! :)) LOL Kate xx

Schizophrenia. Isn't that the band that used to fronf for Jethro Tull? Just kidding. When your insecurities go away you will be left with the core Karla, the survivor and that, my dear, is good enough for whatever else comes along.

You are not alone, all writers, artists. actors etc have those same feelings that is why we need audiences, critics and peers to reinforce the messages that we want to express get out there and we don't give up. Very good expression of all of our feelings.
