Have a sinus infection combined with bronchitis. Been fighting it over a week...hard to write when it hurts to think.

Poem Artwork

The words,
swallowed in a blaze of pain,
caused by hammers
striking again ... and yet, again
against my head;
my nose
wars with my sinuses in
a battle that
leaves me wondering who will win
(I hope it's me).
My throat
warbles in infected tones
and fever plays
its sweaty music on my bones
and it sounds sick ...

It hurts
to write when I feel so bad,
so I'll go back
to bed and hope I feel better
tomorrow.

I sure hope you are feeling better. I was one very sickly child but once I reached adulthood, every sickness seemed to vanish (including my horrible allergie). Be well, Karla. Love and peace.

Darling, Bless!!!!! Honey and lemon, cut up halfinch root ginger and chopped into hot water (not boiling, cos it destroys all the goodies)... good anti-inflammatory; should soothe and clear the tubes, too; my physio recommended yesterday and someone did it for me today for the first time: delicious!! :)) This infection sounds NASTY and I can relate. Get well soon, Babe and I will be thinking of you as I twiddle me thumbs in me hospital bed next week. YOU are ill... I'm... feeling fit as a flea... Excuse for you to just think great poetry and jot things down as they come... we are now expecting even GREATER things to burst forth just as soon as you're ready... but - YOU DID THIS WITH A FEVER?! Pretty darn good, I'd say as I mop my fevered brow here trying to keep up with the review! :)) Will definitely be in touch - Turner will get an earful from me just as soon as I can cuss down the phone to him! He will be charged with givin everyone a full update... but he doesn't know that yet! :)) Take great care, Karla... chests can be naughty!! LOL Kate xx

These are immortal words of of the sick, and
should be preserved in the Smithsonian Institution's

Good pengirlship - even when fevered and feeling
like that rhyming committe! I like it! - Bill
