Sometimes when I write, I talk to myself; you know, trying to get the meter and words just right. And when the words refuse to come, I have to SCREAM and SHOUT them onto the page - now tell me: does that mean I'm as crazy as I think I am?
Being "crazy" is the wonderful advantage we creative people have. We can dance in the streets, wear mis-matched clothes, let our hair grow long and gray and put it in braids. I love being a "crazy artist." Great write, Karla

And is there something wrong with being crazy, Karla, and talking to one's self?? If you like yourself and are at peace with yourself (and sometimes at war with yourself (:D), why not discuss it and fight it out? LOL Crazy is but a word, used, misused and abused.

This is common Karla. I sometimes talk to myself without knowing I am making any sound. The surprise on the face of my 3 year old daughter, Maria, sometimes tells me that the words have been coming out with much strain though, and I would ask her: Maria, what has dad said? and she would say: HMMMMM HU HAHUHA. Then I laugh and laugh at myself getting relief out from my sense of humor. Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem

No comment on the crazy part, I will leave that up to you, but I talk to myself all the time. I even argue with myself...it's great living alone, there is nobody to make me think I am nuts just because I love to talk outloud. I have a cat, so if anyone should ever hear me and ask who I was talking to, I could always say it was her I suppose. Anyway, I don't think that I am crazy, or at least not dangerously crazy. I think sanity is grossly overated anyway. LOL!!

Yup. you sho is, babe, crazy as dat ole fox. Whatever it takes to get it right is my motto. For every poet/novelist/writer of whatever, we all have oulr little quirks to get the words to flow. Mine used to be Jim Beam. Course I found out that the words that flowed were unreadable when I sobered up, so I had to quit that and just use whatever gray cells I posess. Thanks for the kind words about my poem.
... well, shows you is probably just about as deaf as me then, in that case! :)) Either that, or that your brain just doesn't listen too well, or has selective deafness like a "naughty" child! You sound a lot more sane than me... I just ROFL laffin at me own jokes all day long, so if that ain't delusional I don't know what is. At least I keep myself amused. I blame it on too many food additives, meself. Or too much maple syrup... We just have talents . We see a lOT more than the
so called norm.
Sometimes we do have to jump up and down on our page.
