It's not like I have something better to do with my time than sit here and write poems. There's a Force much greater compelling me to pick up the pen and scribble the first thing that comes to mind. I shut my eyes and open my ears, concentrating on the meter my heart beats and wipe all extraneous thought from my head except for the rhythmic chanting my Muse sings; when the meter combines with her song, that's when the impossible happens. Do you think I do this on my own? Surely not; I am not that talented. The poem we compose is a joint effort; we speak the same language. (She just is more fluent in it than I; she knows how to express it better. She channels her thoughts into my pen and allows me to take some of the credit for her genius.) Now whether or not what we scribe is worth reading or not, we won't know unless you tell us.
As long as you write, I shall read (and review!!). You know that. But anyone who doesn't read your words are the true losers; they are missing out on a super talent here at the den! Keep writing, and keep on reaching for those Northern Lights..and beyond!! Good stuff, Karla! BRAVA!

There is a difference in writing casually and career. Your last couple of lines, "Now whether or not what we scribe is worth reading or not, we won't know unless you tell us." I am a career writer and the answer to these two lines for me is not known until I receive my quarterly royalty checks. This is how a career writer can gauge how well we are read. It is not so much about what you write, it is about how you market it. The reviews I give to the den members are done so with great thought. I do this for all of the writers, as these reviews can be used as professional reviews when one goes to market a book. Reviews have great value. As long as you keep writing the lines, you'll keep getting reviews. This in return gives you a gauge of feedback. I can see much growth in your writing. Keep writing and keep smiling, Karla.
