Worshipped for all of the wrong reasons; we bow down to the celebrity gods they are, whether they deserve it or not. Jealousy, I think, the reminder of what we are not - those famous or infamous making the news we wish we were.

So true. But you know to have peace of mind and life is worth more than all riches. When I lost my job I changed to a simple life style and it is so liberating... Excellent message..
I know that celebrity can be ugly, but it can also be pretty too. I love it when celebrities use their notoriety to do good for others, as in the case of Angelina Jolie. She rakes in the bucks, and the flash bulbs, but she's able to give back and encourage others to follow her example of adopting children from third world countries that need homes. Of course that little snafu about Brad Pitt's marriage to Jennifer Aniston wasn't one of her finest moments, but I like the other stuff. There are a number of people in Hollywood considering adoption of third world children now that might not have done so without her bringing it to the forefront. Just some thoughts. On another note, I love this piece my friend. I love all of your stuff, as well as the writer. Michelle

Oh, you are right, Karla, and thanks for giving me the kudos, and I agree with Susan also, these people, for the most part are walking around as they like to say about Bush, in empty suits. But the masses out here clamor for the most ridiculous news and photos from them. Gawd!!!!
In reality these stars come with more bagagge then any of us here. They perform mosy of their lives without having a source to locate themselves. Those I've met were extremely introverted with shadows some of us couldn't cope with...then there are the exceptions...
