Karla I don’t know if Senator Kerry knew about it but there was a joke along these lines which goes like this:
A general was giving a walk to his dog and in a nearby garden he saw a man reading a newspaper. He came too close to the man and told to his dog “read books like this and you shall become a writer like this man" The man retorted" yes dog, your master is right. Make yourself educated as you will otherwise become a general like him" I think origin of the joke is Arabic. So please take it just a joke and not an offence to the American military in war with the Iraqis or the Afghans or in other places of the world.
I aagree with Victor's comment. I am not politically inclined, but I think those who sacrifices of their country should be commended for their braveries.
There will always be callousnous and political assholes Karla who have little or no respect for the sacrifices made by the sons and daughters of freedom. We can not let this provoke us though because for every one of them there are hundreds and thousands of patriots who shed tears and pray prayers for the men of the Armed Services.

This is a powerful write. I am not from US and would not interfere, but anyone who belittles a soldier doing his duty is a cad. He should not be allowed to run for president. Victor
Whenever America stops name calling, and starts treating people like people instead of political symbols; when right is right and wrong is wrong and Osama becomes a priority instead of a missing excuse; when people understand that war is a result of Cain killing Abel, and that in any war NO DEATH IS GOOD; and that there will only be peace in heaven, then maybe this nation will stop dividing itself because God is no respector of persons, and there will be nothing in the end but souls in heaven or in hell. That's the most important thing. . . salvation of the soul, not saving face, nor throwing mud in the face of anyone. Let those without sin cast the first stone. Politics be damned.
That comment made me mad, I try to look at both sides of the story but in this case I know their was nothing but ignorance and hate in his words, keep up the great writing

He is a fraud and a phony, and he is also married to Teresa Heinz - out of Pittsburgh - which is only 30 miles from me! She is nuts, too - and she has her DECEASED CONSERVATIVE HUSBAND, JOHN HEINZ' FORTUNE to support Scary-Kerry with!
He did irreparable damage to the Viet Nam Vets - and now, those serving in Iraq....

Maybe those who feel the need to make fun of our troops need to go to
Iraq and fight the war on terror themselves? Better yet, how about sending John Kerry, Rush Limbaugh, and all those other people who have no business poking fun at our President or our government, or better yet, our military? Send the troops back home and let these clowns fight the war. Powerfully angry, much needed vent; I feel the same way you do, Karla! Very well expressed, and your anger/bitterness is very well justified.
