Numb with pain, I shuffle,
the weight of the world heavy
on my shoulders.  It's been
there so long, it's imbedded
in my ankles; my spine
is bowed.  It's a hard, hard life ...

Karla,

I hope the heavy burden is gone from you; I am praying for a Healing Touch from God on you. Hang in there; things have GOT to get better! Just trust in the Lord and believe; that is all it takes! Very well done poem; expresses your mood perfectly! BRAVA!

Yes Karla it is and the only thing that can possibly lighten the load in this world is love. Love of children, husbands, wifes, mothers fathers even love of God. Love is the answer and love helps us bear the load...and I know you have lots of love to call on.

Dearest Karla, It is not right that you should bear the weight of the world upon your lovely shoulders. Far too heavy, for a mere mortal. No wonder it bows the spine and pains the ankles. We are not meant to carry such a strain. So, cast it off to the Lord. He is able to carry the load.
Having said that, this was another clever write! :)

God Bless

Amen sister...I too feel the pain within my ankles this week, and my shoulders are drooped a bit low. It is a hard, hard life...but together we can be over comers...I'll pray for you...you pray for me, sometimes it helps to switch loads. I just thought of a song that a friend sings..."He's an on time God" so let's hang on, pray hard, and wait on him to come by our way.
Blessings to you,
Joyce Bowling

You've expressed yourself very well, Karla. I feel that pain. But you're also a very strong willed woman. You'll beat it! My prayers are with you.

Feel every ounce of this, Karla. But you have the Atlas spirit and can soar above the great burden of pain when you think Poetry!! I do understand just how hard it is to maintain energy levels against continual knawing discomfort and the fatigue and gloom it constantly ushers in with it. Fix yourself a good hot bath and burn some fragrance and settle back with some wonderful literature... that should both relax away the aches and agonies and uplift the spirit. I KNOW you will be free once you have hit on the next moment's inspiration. May you be blessed with sleep that brings refreshment and rest. Love and prayers. K xx Wonderful pilgrim write! :))
