Apartment renovation almost complete. :)

... everything brand new:  no nicks,
no dings, unless we
put them there, just waiting for our
touch.  Carpets and floors
untested by feet; oak kitchen
cabinets, empty,
waiting to be filled; shiny
appliances sit
up, begging to be used; ceiling
fans wanting to coooool
and refresh, front door locked, until
w e open it -- no more
living out of boxes!!  Have to wait
wait for the final
inspection, the go-ahead; they
say maybe two weeks.
Brand new beginnings; a new start
for the both of us.
I tell ya, it's not soon e n o u g h !
The place we're in now
falling down around us; holes in
the walls; faucets don't
work, toilets overflowing ... what
a mess.  HURRY UP!!!

(c) 2007, Karla Dorman (7/13)

Been there done that my friend, we have lived in places as you described, felt like we would never get to the new place! Once there it didn't take long to feel like home, and as though we had always been there! I did learn that the times we lived in the run down old places sure made me appreciate the new home, even more than I already did! Boy what a ride, and living out of boxes...it's the pits. Hang in there, I'm anxious for you guys to get settled in, you'll have to post a picture of you and Karen in your new place!
Blesssings,
Joyce B.

ohhhhhhhh new digs???
how exciting!!!

you can paint and decorate anyway you want........
watch HGTV your head will be swimming with ideas...

in one week, after watching David Bromstead on that show, I gave my walls a old world yellow paint treatment, painted one wall, basil green, painted my lamps, hung beads from them, decorated mental sculptures with beads , reupholestered a chair green, made floating tables, and generally went nuts.....and green is not my color, nor is yellow, I love purples........lol.......the colors sound gaudy, but it came out sooooooooo cool....

I am so happy for you guys........hope the storms stay farrrrrrr away ........if I could I would bake you cookies as a house warming gift and come over for a cup of tea with you........lol

god bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A new begining is like a shot of energy in the arm of our lives.
We should go at it until we drop.
Go! Go! Go!

I am glad to hear things are getting better for you, that awesome that you are getting a newly renovated apartment, we may be moving into a house very shortly, the apartment was only meant to be until we found the house and the Lord has been blessing us, I have been thinking about and praying for you, when you get back into your apartment let me know, I would love to hear from you
God Bless

an old tale my mom told me many years ago, as a child of course, believed her...

Before you go to sleep, that first night in a new place, make a wish ....and in the morning look in the corner..it should be there.

Never quite seemed to work that way though. But a nice memory of Mom, none the less.
Thanks,

Walt
