M.A.D. Not Mothers Against Drunks (which I am, being alcoholic, myself), but Military Appreciation Day at the local Golden Corral. Hungry Veterans line out the door, waiting to be fed and recognized. Old friends reunited; new
friends made; happy hugs and joyful slaps on the back as they salute each other for a job well done, for making it home; tears flow as those who've passed on are remembered, whether on the battlefields of war or of life.
Stories fly as fast as plates are filled; school choirs serenade with patriotic numbers; we still remember the words and sing along. Each branch of the Military has their own special tune; its members are proud to try to outdo the
next. "Off we go, into the wild blue yonder ... " The Marines win this time around. Bellies full, we slowly make our way to the door, with plans to meet next Military Appreciation Day. Thank you, Golden Corral, for a delicious time!
For me a military badn bring tears and the joy of the crowd, especially the younger ones and Vets is an inspiring tribute to what we hold dearest in our lives..PEACE and FREEDOM

It was a wonderful time, and the best part is that we didn't have to work! :) We had a great meal, and we saw old friends/made new friends. Lots of happy, smiling faces to be seen (not to mention, full bellies!)! I can see why we enjoy Military Appreciation Day; all places should honor our veterans this way! It'd be a much nicer place, that's for darn sure! Well stated, and glad you got your freel meal; you deserved it! Thank YOU for serving; the world is a much nicer place because of people like you who served our nation!

It is good to be appreciated EVERY day - you heroes of the red, white and blue. Many of us do appreciate you each day of our lives. It's good when corporate America offers recognition of what you all have done.
